This course is designed to introduce students to Perl programming and Perl Fundamentals. Perl is a high-level, general purpose, dynamic, flexible and adaptable programming language. It is used for graphics programming, system administration, network programming, and for applications that require database access. You will learn to create Perl programs.
Upon successful completion the students will be able to demonstrate the following:
• An understanding of the fundamental concepts of Perl
• Knowledge on how Perl is currently being used in various application areas
• The syntax of Perl script
• How to create and execute a simple Perl program
